1:1 Meditation Education

becoming a skilled meditator can help you abide your condition, no matter how difficult your life is. Through a meditation practice and mindfulness you can create space for change.

Meditation can feel beyond what is possible when your body is in pain. Being quiet and still can be very scary. I get that. I felt that way. Fortunately, I learned to meditate early on in the onset of my illness, and I learned that meditation was an incredible tool that helped me - both physically and emotionally - live with my illness.

I would love to show you how meditation is possible for you and teach you why it works.
(Science knows much more about why now than was known in 2002!)
You can blossom beautifully even if your life is in the mud.

01 | Enhance sleep - by training your mind to redirect the racing or "runaway" thoughts that often lead to insomnia.

02 | Generate self-compassion - by cultivating kind thoughts and feelings towards your friends, you loved ones, your acquaintances, your community, your enemies and yourself.

03 | Improve focus -  increasing the endurance and strength of your attention.

04 | Expanded self-awareness - by helping you recognize thoughts that may be harmful or self-defeating.

05 | Reduce stress effect - by minimizing the effects of stress-caused inflammation.

With personalized guidance, we will get you started no matter how are you. Any amount of meditation can offer benefits. Guide meditations are my favorite “gateway drug” for getting started (though way back win I used to laugh that I was buying basically blank CDs!)

Get clear on how you want to feel, and I will show you the way to accomplish your goals.

I’ll teach you tools to begin and maintain your practice, how to overcome obstacles such as body positioning, discomfort, physical pain, and meditation methods so you can abide your life with more ease and equanimity.

About Your Guide ::

I have been meditating since 2002 when I went on a yoga retreat where meditation was required twice a day. I resisted, believing I couldn’t sit because of my pain. But at the close of one those meditation sessions my pain dissolved. (Yeah, !!!!)

Ever since, my regular meditation practice is an integral part of my wellbeing. I regard meditation so essential, I even advocated for the healing power of meditation in extensive interviews for articles that appeared in Neurology Now, the American Academy of Neurology’s (AAN) patient-education magazine (now called Brain & Life). One is on Mediation as Medicine and another is on Living with Pain.

For years, I taught meditation in my yoga classes at yoga studio, nilambu yoga. David Nichtern (her first meditation teacher), Tara Brach, Sharon Salzberg and Pema Chodron are guides and mentors I relies on.
